The case was successfully considered the applicant's application about the unsatisfactory conditions of his detention in a correctional colony. The case has violated the requirements of Article 3 of the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms.
In 2016, the complainant was assisted in preparing a application. Subsequently, the application was communicated to the Russian Federation.
In his application, the applicant complained about the unsatisfactory conditions of his detention in the penal colony.
On 18 December 2018, according to the application filed by the applicant, the European Court unanimously ruled that in the present case the authorities violated the requirement of Article 3 of the Convention (prohibition of torture), and ordered the respondent state to pay the applicant 15,000 euros in compensation for moral harm.
