The case was successfully considered the complaint of the applicant, who participated in the demonstration, that his content in glass and metal cells during the hearings in the framework of the first and appellate instances was inhuman and degrading treatment. The case has violated the requirements of Article 3 of the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms (prohibition of torture).
In 2014, the complainant was assisted in preparing an application. Subsequently, the application was communicated to the Russian Federation.
In his complaint, the complainant, who participated in the demonstration on May 6, 2012, complained that his content in glass and metal cells during the first and appellate hearings was inhuman and degrading treatment.
On May 29, 2018, the European Court unanimously ruled that in the present case the authorities violated the requirements of Article 3 of the Convention (prohibition of torture) and ordered the respondent state to pay the applicant 7,500 euros in compensation.
